Lucy Hanko

DOG HANDLER

Lucy’s passion for animals started at a young age. She grew up, helping on her grandparents’ dairy farm, surrounded by various-sized animals and breeds of dogs such as Spaniels, Labradors and a Rottweiler. She worked at a boarding kennel and cattery for five years and has also helped look after ex-racing rescue greyhounds before rehoming.

Lucy studied Animal Management at Bridgwater College and worked for a few years before deciding to follow her passion and improve her knowledge of dogs, to study Canine behaviour and Training at University Centre Reaseheath. She lives with her mum and brother (who is at University), and owns two rescue cats Shadow and Kiki, and recently got a puppy, a stubborn sassy Miniature schnauzer cross, Trixie.

Lucy started working at Humphrey and Bo in September 2023 which is her dream
job.

In her spare time, she is usually reading, cooking, walking and training Trixie, and
spending time with friends and family.
